Yellow in the Wilderness

Today is St. Patrick's Day but it's not as green in the wilderness I would like.

There are plenty of Robins around.

Yellow over looking the big hollow.

For several days the skies have been overcast. The woods are still bare.

Here's a poem that might fit the above photo.

Dead but not gone

                                      One leaf, I Know
                                      I saw it there
                                      three years ago
                                      brown in a bare tree.
                                      It’s still there.
                                      I don’t know why
                                      still brown in front
                                      of a gray sky.
                                      I wonder why, it doesn’t
                                      float to the ground?

                                        Later
