Christmas Day Photos

I went for a walk in the wilderness behind the house a few minutes ago. It was snowing a little.
Here's some pictures.


This is a toad stool looking thingy growing in  a bed of moss right on the edge of the bluff.



I bet some animal, a bird maybe, had a home here at one time. The top of the tree is broken off now and rain can fall in. It probably wouldn't be a good place to live now.



If you look close, you can see the far blue mountains in the back ground.



Zoomed in a little. Louis L'Amour wrote about the Far Blue Mountains in his Sackett series. I can imagine living in a time when you could see far unexplored mountains and want to go there.
