I wander around the wilderness behind the house every day, almost. I take a lot of photos of mushrooms, wildflowers, insects, leaves and anything else in nature, especially unusual or seldom noticed things. The wilderness is located in the northeast corner of Alabama. It's on the Cumberland Plateau, which is toward the southern end of the Appalachian Mountains.

This is my latest attempt at being artistic.
It is painted on a piece of old rusted tin and mounted to a wooden board. I love working with discarded, rusty, broken pieces of junk that's been thrown away. Rusty tin, nails and barbed wire are three of the things I look for. I know where there are a few old garbage dumps in out of the way places. There are treasures there waiting for me to come pick them up.
